Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our aluminum trailers, our services and our manufacturing process.

Our products

What types of trailers do you manufacture?

We manufacture a complete range of aluminum trailers, all designed and assembled in Canada:

  • THOR and THOR XL — hydraulic dump trailers (7,000 to 14,000 lb)
  • WALKYRIE, WALKYRIE HD and WALKYRIE AT — versatile utility trailers (2,000 to 7,000 lb)
  • BALDUR CH, EQ, DO, BT — flatbeds for cars, equipment, pallets and Beaver Tail (7,000 to 14,000 lb)

We also offer custom designs to meet your specific needs.

What is the payload capacity of your trailers?

Our trailers cover capacities from 2,000 lb to 14,000 lb depending on the model. The WALKYRIE offers 2,000 to 7,000 lb, the BALDUR flatbeds from 7,000 to 14,000 lb, and the THOR dump trailers from 7,000 to 14,000 lb. Check each model's spec sheet for the exact capacity based on the chosen dimensions.

Why choose aluminum over steel or galvanized?

Aluminum offers a superior weight-to-strength ratio, resulting in a lighter trailer with a higher net payload capacity. It never rusts, requires no surface treatment, and retains its resale value much longer. In the long run, aluminum is a more cost-effective investment thanks to fuel savings and the absence of anti-corrosion maintenance.

What is the lifespan of a Savage aluminum trailer?

Our trailers are designed to last for decades. Unlike steel, which degrades with corrosion, aluminum maintains its structural integrity indefinitely. Many of our customers are still using their Savage trailer after 15, 20+ years with minimal maintenance. This is the foundation of our anti-obsolescence philosophy.

Manufacturing and custom builds

Do you offer custom trailers?

Absolutely. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of custom trailers. Our team of experts can create personalized plans to meet your specific needs, whether for commercial, industrial or personal applications. Contact us to discuss your project.

What are the manufacturing lead times?

Lead times vary depending on the model and complexity of your order. Standard models in stock can be available quickly, while custom trailers generally require several weeks of manufacturing. We will provide you with a precise timeline when you place your order and keep you informed throughout the process.

Where are your trailers manufactured?

All our trailers are entirely designed and manufactured at our factory in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Each unit is assembled by our team of qualified welders and technicians, with rigorous quality control at every stage of production. Proudly made in Canada.

What type of aluminum do you use?

We exclusively use marine-grade and structural aluminum, known for its corrosion resistance and strength. Alloys are selected based on the application: frame, floor, side panels. Each component is optimized to offer the best weight-to-performance ratio.

What warranty do you offer on your trailers?

All our Savage trailers are covered by a comprehensive warranty:

  • 5 years on wiring (Voltflex)
  • 5 years on Dexter axles (9,900 lb and 14,000 lb models)
